The #9 seed Oran Eagles had a chance to pull off the only opening day upset in The 70th annual SEmissourian Christmas Tournament at the Show-me Center late Friday evening against the #8 seed Scott City Rams.

Just two weeks earlier the Rams had dismantled the Eagles by 17 points on Oran's home court.  This contest, however, would be much closer.  The Eagles
held a three point lead at half time and had a lead late but fell just short 54-52.

Oran was led by Hunter Schlosser's 20 points.  Jacob Priggel had another double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Max Priggel added 11 points.  Garrison Mangels snared 8 rebounds.

The Eagles are now 4-4 on the season and will be back in action today at 1:30 pm when they take on Delta.
