What's happenin' (9/5-9/9)

Even with the Monday holiday, it will be a busy sports week for fall baseball and volleyball.

The boys (8-0) will host Leopold Tuesday at 4:30, while the girls (0-3,0-3) will travel to Bollinger County to tangle with the Wildcats.

There are no games scheduled for Wednesday, however, there will be a ring ceremony for the State Championship basketball team at 6 pm.  The event will be held in the gym and the public is welcome.  It will be a chance to see the improvements that have taken place and maybe hear about some more to come.  It will be followed by the first booster club meeting of the school year.  The booster club is always looking for new members.

Baseball and volleyball will both be on the road Thursday.  The hardballers will be at Bell City at 4:30.  The netters will travel to conference foe New Madrid County Central at  6.

Volleyball will participate in the annual Dig for Life Classic this weekend.  Pool play starts Friday.  The Eagles first opponent will be Holcomb at 4:30 on the main floor of the Show-Me Center.  They will then pack up and move to Notre Dame Regional High School for a 7 pm contest with Caruthersville.

Saturday starts bright and early with an 8 am match against Clearwater on court number 3 of the rec center, which is attached to the Show-Me Center.  A tournament will take place following pool play.  For more information on the event click HERE.

Also on Saturday, baseball will travel to Bernie to take on the Mules.  The junior varsity will play a 5 inning game starting at 1 pm, followed by the varsity around 3.

I would also like to thank everyone for their kind words and prayers over the last week or so.
