Junior High boys sweep Bell City

The Oran Junior High boys basketball teams improved to 3-0 with 45-14 seventh-grade win and a 44-29 eighth-grade victory.

Coach Joe Shoemaker said, "I thought both groups played very hard again tonight. We were able to jump out to a lead and work on somethings that were a little different. We were able to play some different lineups and did a good job of being unselfish with the basketball."

Camdyn Triblett led the younger team with 13 points.

Nic Massey and Kolten Payne each added eight.  The trio of Parker Diebold, Noah Mitchem and Luke Peterson chipped in four apiece.  Ryan Burke and Robby Menz both scored a field goal.

As a team, they 3 of 10 free throws for 30%.

Quentin Senciboy was the top scorer for the eighth-graders with 14, including a trey.  Samuel Shoemaker also reached double-digits with 10.

Seth Cauble scored eight and Diesel Cato added seven.  Nick Romas had four points and Chris Collins chipped in a single tally.

The older boys were only 3 of 15 from the free throw line for 20%.

Both squads will be back in action next Thursday when they travel to fellow Scott-Mississippi conference member Scott City for a 6 pm tip.
