What's happenin' (2/12-2/17)

Its the final week of the regular season for Oran High School basketball!  The girls (4-0, 7-1 & 5-0, 16-4) and the boys (6-1, 5-3 & 5-2, 18-4) will look to enter the post-season on winning streaks.

The girls are scheduled to host district-rival St. Vincent on Monday at 6 pm.  St. Vincent has canceled school for tomorrow, however.  So right now, that one is up in the air.

The boys will close out their regular season on Tuesday at Advance.  The Eagles have defeated the Hornets in both previous meetings, so expect a battle.  It will be their little cheer night.  Tip time is 6 pm, gates open at 5.

On Wednesday, the girls travel to Dexter take on to take on the class 4 powerhouse Bearcats.  Dexter is currently ranked 4th in their class in the most recent coaches' poll.  The game is scheduled to start at 6 pm.

The regular season ends on Thursday when the girls hit the road again.  They will head over to Scott City to face their Scott-Miss foes.  The Lady Rams did not have a junior varsity squad during the conference tournament and we are assuming they still don't.  If we hear differently we will update ASAP.

Everyone is off on Friday and there is no school.

The district tournament starts on Friday.  It is at the Perry Park Center again.  Here is a Link to the Brackets.
