8th-grade advances in conference tourney

The Oran eighth-grade girls basketball team easily advanced during the opening round of the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament Saturday afternoon in a game played at Charleston.  The Lady Eagles scalped the Scott County Central Bravettes 60-8 to advance to the semi-finals. 

Emma Priggel led all scorers with 18, she hit two from beyond the arc.  Liza Dannenmueller and Grace Davis added 14 each.

Laney Shy had eight and Maddie Stickel chipped in six.

The girls were 2 of 3 from the line for 67%.

They improved to 12-2 overall and will take on Chaffee on Monday at 6:45 pm.
