Scheeter advances from Sectionals to State

The Oran High School track and field Sectional qualifiers left on Friday afternoon in advance of Saturday's Sectional meet in Mokane at South Callaway High School.

Langdon Scheeter was the only Eagle to move on to next weekend's state championships at Jefferson City High School.  He finished second in the 1600 M run with a personal best and new school record time of 4:40.17.

The top four in each event moved on to state.

Tyson Goodale finished sixth in the high jump at 5-08.00.  Samuel Shoemaker was also sixth in the 400 M dash with a time of 57.35.

The boys 4 X 100M relay team of Goodale, Shoemaker, Kaiden Massey and Diesel Cato finished seventh (48.92). 

Goodale also finished eighth in the long jump with a leap of  17-11.00.  Massey was eighth in the discus with a toss of  95-07.00.

On the girls side, Savannah Below was seventh in the high jump at 4-04.00 and Savannah Hewitt was eighth in the 400 M dash, running it in a time of 1:19.30.

The boys finished 14th out of 31 teams with 18 points and the girls were 28th out of 31 with 3 points.

Scheeter is tentatively scheduled to run on Friday at about 1:20 pm at Jefferson City High School.
