The Oran High School varsity volleyball team lost for the first time last night at conference foe Kennett in straight sets, 25-11 and 20-25.
Traci Hency had five digs and two blocks. Laney Shy had three assists, Savannah Below and Heather Gosche each had a kill. Paige Bradley served the only ace. The varsity is now 2-1.
The junior varsity fell in three sets. Losing the first, 25-19, winning the second 25-22 and then losing a heartbreaker 25-23.
Haley Webb had three aces, three blocks and a kill. Daley Siebert had three digs and an assist. Courtney Dirnberger and Dalani Bryant each added the aces. The jv is now 1-2.
The girls will be back in action this evening when they travel to district opponent Advance for a 6 pm match.
