It was the second straight year that Oran, the second smallest school in the event finished fourth. Last year, they beat Meadow Heights and lost to Saxony and Jackson. This year, they defeated Cape Central and fell to eventual champion Notre Dame and Saxony.
Kaylee Payne had a double-double for Oran with 14 points and 10 rebounds. She hit one from beyond the arc. Katie Webb finished with 14 points as well. Webb grabbed seven boards.
Payne and Webb were both named to the all-tournament team.
Taylor Lowes had eight points including two treys. Mallory Lowes went four for four from the line for her points. Heather Gosche had four points. Grace Davis, Traci Hency and Hope Woodfin each had two.
The girls were 9-21 from inside the arc for 42.9%. From beyond, they were 3-18 for 16.7%. At the free throw line, they were 23-28 for 82.1%. They committed 26 turnovers.
They now have a record of 6-2 and will be off until Jan.4, when they travel to Notre Dame for a 6pm contest.
