What's happenin' (9/12- 9/17)
One sport is scheduled to wrap up this week and another one starts.
Fall baseball has it's last game on Saturday, but the Bell City game may still be rescheduled, and junior high girls basketball will tip off on Monday.
So lets start with Monday. The baseball team hosts Advance at 4:30. Oran, 5-1, won the previous contest 12-0 about two weeks ago over the 1-3 Hornets. Last time, there were jv innings played after the varsity game.
Also on Monday, the junior high girls will open their season hosting Chaffee at 6 pm. Look for a preview of their season tomorrow.
Baseball will hit the road on Tuesday as they travel to Puxico. The Eagles defeated the 0-7 Indians 15-1 earlier this year. Game time is 4:30.
Volleyball will also be out of town on Tuesday as they will head to Scott City for a conference match at 6 pm. Oran is 3-6-1 and 2-0 in conference. Scott City is 3-12 overall and 0-1 in league play after finishing 2nd in the bronze division of the Dig for Life Classic over the weekend. First serve is scheduled for 6 pm.
Junior high girls will hit the court again on Wednesday as they make the trip to Scott City. Tip time is 6 pm.
Baseball is back home on Thursday when they host the Wildcats of Leopold. Leopold enters the week 1-2. Oran won the previous meeting 13-0.
No school on Friday and no activities are currently scheduled.
The Eagles' baseball team will end it's schedule (pending a possible make-up with Bell City) on Saturday when they head down to Bernie. Game time is 11 am and a junior varsity game is scheduled.
