The Oran varsity boys basketball team picked up a home conference win over visiting Delta this evening 73-32 to improve to 2-1 in the league and 4-3 overall heading into the Christmas break. There was no junior varsity game.
The Eagles jumped out to a 30-8 first quarter lead and cruised to the 41 point win.
Cole Priggel had a game-high 17 points, while Drew Reischman hit for a career-high 15 off the bench and grabbed a team-high 9 rebounds. Max Priggel had 13, including 2 treys and Layne Johnson was the fourth Eagle in double-digits with 12. He dished out 5 assists.
Jacob Shoemaker had 8. The quartet of Luke Barnes, Wyatt Kinney, Peyton McVay and Joey Phillips had 2 apiece.
Denver Elfrink, Ben Fox and William Kluesner were on the court but did not score.
Oran was 9 of 16 from the line for 56%.
The will not play again until the final game of the opening night of the seMissourian Christmas Tournament on Monday, December 26th at 9 pm, when they take on Scott City for the second time this season.
