Jayvee boys finish fourth

Oran's junior varsity boys basketball team was seeded fourth entering the 2016 Advance Junior Varsity Tournament and that's where they finished after last night's 52-41 loss to the 3rd-seeded Bloomfield Wildcats.

The Eagles were down by 5 at the half but saw that margin balloon to 20 entering the fourth.  Oran outscored the Wildcats 18-9 during the final quarter,  but it was too little, too late.

Landon Stanberry scored 12 of his game-high 27 points during the final seven minutes.  He hit one three on the night.  Tyson Goodale added 8.  Jakob Findley, Gabe Fox and Avery Mitchem had 2 apiece.  Mitchem's came on 2 of 2 free throw shooting.  Calen Read played but did not score.

The Eagles were 6 of 10 from the line for 60%.

They are now 2-4 on the year and they will not play until the new year, on January 3rd, when the Bernie Mules come to town.
