It will be another week full of athletic activities for Oran High school spring athletes.
The fun starts tomorrow (Monday) at 4 pm when track and field will participate in the Chaffee Open. Thirty minutes later the 6-3 baseball team will take on the 9-1 Red Devils in a game that will play in Chaffee.
On Tuesday, baseball travels to Fruitland to take on the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders (9-2), Meanwhile, softball 6-1) travels to New Madrid County Central, a team that enters the week at 2-6. Both games start at 4:30 pm.
Wednesday will see softball travel to Dexter (3-4). That one starts at 4:30 also.
Baseball will head to Delta (1-5) on Thursday while softball hosts Kennett (7-1). And yes, they start at 4:30 pm
Times change a little on Friday.
Softball will compete in the inaugural Old Settlement Varsity Softball Tournament on Friday and
Saturday.

Date: Friday, April 20th (Pool Play) and Saturday, April 21st (Gold, Silver, and Bronze bracket play)
Location: Ste. Genevieve High School’s Leon’s Field (turf), Ste. Genevieve High School’s Yanks North Field (turf), Ste. Genevieve Community Center’s Challenger Field (turf), and Park Hills Central High School Field (dirt)
- Concession and bathrooms are available very close to the fields.
- Spectator parking will be on the lot directly next to the fields.
- No admission
- Programs will be available at no cost
- Plaques will be awarded to the first, second, third and fourth place teams. Medals will be awarded to 15 players/coaches as well for 1st-4th place teams.
- Each game will be 7 innings long or an hour and 30 minutes (whichever comes first) with no innings beginning after the time limit. Championship games of Gold, Silver and Bronze brackets will have no time limit.
- Mercy rule applies to all games in the tournament

On Saturday, the baseball team is in the 7th annual Notre Dame High School Baseball Showcase.
They will take on Jackson at Whitey Herzog field at noon before traveling to Notre Dame Regional high school to take on the Bulldogs at 4 pm.
