Eagles clobber Cardinals

The Oran High School baseball team traveled to Woodland yesterday and defeated the Cardinals 18-3 in a three-inning mercy rule.

The Eagles put up seven in the first, eight in the second and three in the third.  Todd Priggel got the start on the mound.  He gave up three first-inning runs but did not allow another.  He improved to 2-1 on the season.



Jacob Shoemaker had two of his three hits in the first inning, as he doubled to start the game and then singled to drive in two his next time up.  Kole Simms was 3-4 on the day with a double and drove in three.  Ty Johnson and Quenton Senciboy drove in two apiece.  Carter Heuring added a triple, while Tristin Schlosser had a double.  They each drove in a run.




Priggel worked all three innings, he allowed three runs, all earned.  He gave up six hits, walked one and struck out two. Oran improved to 4-6.  They will travel to Cooter on Wednesday to take on the Wildcats at 4:30.
