Track and Field at districts

On Saturday the Oran High School track and field teams competed in the Class 1 District 1 meet at Cape Central High School.

Oran had several athletes advance (the top-four finishers move on) to next Saturday's sectional meet at South Callaway High School.

On the boys side, Tyson Goodale claimed the gold in the High Jump with a school record leap of 6-01.00.  Langdon Scheeter took the silver in the 1600 M run with a new school record of 4:43.31. Goodale grabbed the bronze in the long jump with a mark of 18-05.00.  The 4 X 100 M relay team of Goodale, Kaiden Massey, Diesel Cato and Samuel Shoemaker finished third with a time of 49.52  Shoemaker was third in the 57.46.  Massey was fourth in the discus at 100-01.

For the girls, both Savannah's advanced.  Below was fourth in the high jump at 4-02.00 and Hewitt was fourth in the 400 M dash at 1:14.79.

The boys had 44 points and finished eighth out of 17 teams.  the girls totaled 11 and were 14th out of 17.
