Eighth-grade hoops wins in rout

The only Oran Eagle team victorious yesterday was the eighth-grade girls basketball team that overwhelmed Charleston by a score of 60-3.

Braylynn Morgan scored 29 and Addie Nichols added 21.

Molly Spane had six and Scarlett Schlosser and Lilly Knotts each had two.

Coach Ethan Evans said, "We were able to get up and pressure them early and that led to some easy baskets. We did a good job running the floor and played good defense."

They are now 3-0 in conference and 4-0 overall.

The junior high girls will be back in action on Thursday when they host East Prairie at 6 pm.
