Eagles and Cardinals split

The Oran Junior High School girls basketball teams hosted the Woodland Cardinals last night.  The seventh-grade lost 31-12.  The eighth-grade tossed a first-half shut out and rolled, 49-4.

The younger team, that has only five on the roster to start with saw Olivia Grisso foul out.  She finished with six points.  Mari Fuemmeler had four and Ava Knott had the other two, as they slipped to 4-6.

In the nightcap, the Lady Eagles were up 36-0 at the intermission and cruised on to the 45 point rout.

Addie Nichols topped all scorers with 24 and hit three treys.  Braylynn Morgan had 13.

Sophie Bryeans and Molly Spane had four apiece.  Lily Knotts and Scarlett Schlosser each had a field goal.  The team was 8 for 17 at the line for 47 percent.
