Eagles Split Two with Chaffee

On Monday evening the JHBB split it's contests with conference foe Chaffee.

In game one, the 7th grade was able to end a five game losing streak despite missing two starters.  Landon Standberry and Gabe Fox both missed the actio due to illness.  But even though the Eagles were short-handed they were able to hold on for a 27-25 victory.  Oran was led by Tristin Schlosser.  They are now 2-3 and 6-5.

In the 8th grade the Eagles trailed throughout the game but were able to knot the score at 25 with less than a minute remaining in the 3rd quarter.  An 8-0 run by the Red Devils, however, into the 4th quarter put Oran into a hole they could not dig out of.  Chaffee won 42-35. The Eagles were led in scoring by Jacob Shoemaker with 20 and Layne Robinson with 15.  They are also 2-3 in conference and 8-3 overall.

Oran will be back in action tonight in their final regular season game tonight as they host Scott County Central.  Tonight's game time is 5:00 pm and will be followed by the HSGB varsity opener also against SCC.
