The Oran Eagles JHBB team dropped a pair of games to conference foe East Prairie last night.
In the opener, the 7th grade held a 19 - 15 lead at half time but ended up losing a heart-breaker 30 - 28. Tyson Loper was the leading scorer for Oran with 10 points. Both he and Landon Stanberry only played the first half because the 8th grade was shorthanded due to the illness of Jacob Shoemaker.
In 8th grade action, Oran trailed 14 - 4 after the first quarter and it was downhill from there. The final was 54 - 18. Layne Robinson had 14 points.
With the losses, the younger squad is now 5 - 4 while the elder Eagles are 7 - 2, overall. Both squads are 1 - 2 in Scott-Miss Conference play.
The Eagles will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Delta for another conference match up.
