In the opener, the Eagle 7th grade opened up a 16-5 lead after 1 quarter of play. They put the game out of reach in the 2nd by holding Richland scoreless. Oran was up 27-5 at halftime and finished the game 46-16. Landon Stanberry led the Eagles with 17 points, Tristin Schlosser added 11.
In the 8th grade game, the Eagles only led 11-6 after the 1st quarter but were able to expand the 5 point lead to 13, 23-10, at halftime. The home team continued to expand it's lead, eventually winning by a final of 51-20.
Layne Robinson scored 22 for the older Eagle squad. Jacob Shoemaker added 12.
Following the game all fall and winter athletes were recognized at the Booster Club Bonfire. Hot dogs, chips and soda were provided.
The teams will be back in action on Monday, Nov. 10 at Advance. Start time is 6 pm.
