The Eagles looked to be up to the task early, thanks in part to the hot-shooting hand of Jacob Priggel. Priggel scored 9 points in the first period as Oran led 15 -14.

would never relinquish it, even though the Eagles fought back late. At halftime the score was 35-29 in favor of SCC.
It was a double-digit lead after three, 56-44 and Scott County maintained a ten-plus point lead well into the final quarter when Oran mounted a comeback. The Eagles cut the lead to seven with just over two minutes to go but the Braves hit enough free throws down the stretch to hold on for a 75-64 victory.

Junior Varsity Action: In Friday's opening game the #3 seed Oran Eagles jumped out to an 18-12 lead over the fourth-seeded Chaffee Red Devils and expanded the lead each quarter in route to 58-39 victory to claim the third-place plaque.
Layne Johnson and Cole Priggel led all scorers with 19 each. Denver Elfrink added eight points for the Eagle jv, whose record now stands at 7-6
Up Next: The Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday, January 27th when they host the Oak Ridge Blue Jays. The jv will tip off at 6:00 pm. Note: Tuesday night will be Senior Night for five Seniors: Anthony Pobst, Jacob Priggel, Hunter Schlosser, Thomas Trankler and Eric Westrich.
