Varsity Action:  In the night cap Friday evening, the third-seeded Oran Eagles had the daunting task of not only facing the tournament's number one seed but also the number six ranked class two team in the state, according the Missouri High School Basketball Coaches Association, in the Scott County Central Braves.

The Eagles looked to be up to the task early, thanks in part to the hot-shooting hand of Jacob Priggel.  Priggel scored 9 points in the first period as Oran led 15 -14.

In the second quarter the Braves took the lead and they
would never relinquish it, even though the Eagles fought back late. At halftime the score was 35-29 in favor of SCC.

It was a double-digit lead after three, 56-44 and Scott County maintained a ten-plus point lead well into the final quarter when Oran mounted a comeback.  The Eagles cut the lead to seven with just over two minutes to go but the Braves hit enough free throws down the stretch to hold on for a 75-64 victory.
