The fourth-seeded Oran varsity girls basketball team doubled up number five seed St. Vincent in the first quarter, 12-6 and continued to expand their lead en route to a 45-30 victory last night.

The Eagles, now 6-1, were led by Ashlyn McIntosh and Allie Cummins who both recorded double-doubles. McIntosh scored 17 and snared 10 rebounds while Cummins dropped in 10 points and grabbed 17 boards.
Oran has the unenviable task of taking on the #1 seed and third-ranked team in class 3 Saxony Lutheran in a quarterfinal game on Wednesday evening at 7.
