Lady Eagles Drop Two at Kelly

As the Lady Eagles traveled to Kelly to take on the Lady Hawks tonight both Oran teams were looking to avenge losses to Kelly that occurred in the conference tournament earlier this month.  Neither squad was successful.

Varsity Action:  Oran led after the first eight minutes of play 7-6 but Kelly gained the lead in the second quarter and led at the half 14-13.  The Hawks lead was four after three, 22-18.  The final was 37-30.

Tatum May and Brianna Stause each scored nine points to pace Oran, now 10-7 overall and 2-1 in conference play.  Hannah Scherer had 13 rebounds to go along with six points.

A cold shooting performance hampered the Eagles all night long.  From the field they only connected on 21% (11-53) and from the free throw line they were just 5-18 (28%) missing 13 in the seven point loss.

Junior Varsity Action:  The younger Eagles saw their record fall to 3-4 and 0-1 as they lost to the Kelly by a final of 42-23.

Oran was down 15-4 after one quarter and 25-8 at the intermission and ended up losing by 19.

Kenzie Graviett led all scorers with 13 points.

Upcoming Action:  The Lady Eagles will be back in action on Monday when they host Greenville at 6 pm.
