What's happenin' (2/6-2/10)

This week, both the girls and the boys have two games as we enter the final 2 weeks of the regular season.  The junior varsity girls start the week 2-1 in the Scott-Miss and 6-1 overall.  They haven't played since January 26th.  The varsity sits at 5-0 and 18-2.  The boys JV is 4-1 in the league and 5-8.  The varsity is 5-1 and 14-7.

All games begin at 6 pm this week.

The girls will start things off on Monday and the JV will have to wait a little longer to get back on the court as the game at Woodland will be varsity only.  The Cardinals are 8-13.  The two teams have not matched up yet this season.  Last year Oran won 63-45.

On Tuesday, the boys will travel to Bloomfield to take on the 13-9 Wildcats.  It will be the first time these 2 clubs have met since last year's 65-51 Eagle loss.

The action resumes on Thursday when the girls host East Prairie for Senior Night.  The jayvee will finally get a chance to hit the court again.  The visiting Eagles come in at 2-11.  Last year Oran won 75-19.

The boys will be on the road again on Friday when they travel to conference rival Scott County Central.  The Braves are currently 5-0 and 19-5.  The Eagles suffered a 61-45 defeat during the Christmas tournament.

Also on Friday, the seed meeting will take place for the upcoming district tournament that will take place at the Perry Park Center in Perryville, hosted by St. Vincent and starting Saturday, Feb 18th.
