Oran's track and field team traveled to New Haven on Saturday to compete in the Class 1 District 1 meet and three participants qualified to move on the sectional next Saturday at Luthern North High School in St. Louis. The top 4 in each event advanced.
Bradley Brooks, the only boy to participate for the Eagles, finished third in the long jump with a distance of 17-10.75. His prelim times in the 100M and 200M dashes were good enough to run in the finals where he came in 6th and 8th, respectively.
Savannah Below finished 4th in High Jump with a leap of 4-4. She placed 6th in the Long Jump, 10th in the 300M Hurdles and 11th in 100M Hurdles.
Madison Ramsey was the final qualifier as she wound up 4th in the 1600M run with a time of 6:26.45. She was 9th in the 800M run.
The 4X200 Meter Relay team of Morgan Kern, Heather Gosche, Jacey Brant & Cassie Cochran finished 6th.
Gosche finished 16th in 100M and 18th in 200M dashes, while Kern was 21st in the 100M.
The boys (Bradley) finished tied for 14th place out of 19 teams with a total of 10 points. The girls were 13th out of 18 with 16 points.
