Volleyball swept by Advance

The Oran High School volleyball team lost in straight sets at Advance on Tuesday evening. The junior varsity scores were 17-25 & 17-25. The varsity was beaten 5-25 and 6-25.  Both squads are now 0-3.

Coach Wibbenmeyer said, "The JV came out and put up some fight, but we still weren't where we could have been.  Advance varsity came in the game ready to play and full of energy. Our team, on the other hand, went out already defeated and that's a mindset we are working to overcome."

During the prelim, Heather Gosche had 6 kills, a block and a dig.  Savannah Below recorded a block, an ace, 5 digs and a kill.  Kennedi McVay had a kill to go along with 3 assist and 3 digs. Samantha Welter had an assist and a dig while Megan Henson added a kill

During the varsity match,  Jessie Long had a kill and a dig, Kaylee Payne had 2 digs and Cassie Cochran had an assist.

The teams will next be in action on Tuesday, September 5th  at 6 pm at Leopold.
