Volleyball swept by Saxony

The Oran High School volleyball teams lost in straight sets to the visiting Saxony Lutheran Crusaders on Monday night.  The junior varsity lost 10-25 and 18-25.  That dropped their record to 5-8.

Kennedi McVay had five assists, a kill and an ace.  Savannah Below had five kills and two digs.  Ali Hornback added a pair of aces and three digs.

Megan Henson had two kills and two digs.  Heather Gosche a kill and a dig, while Sam Welter and Kaitlyn Streeter had an assist apiece.

The Eagle varsity squad lost 13-25 and 10-25 and saw their record move to 10-10-1.

Kaylee Payne had six kills, five digs a block and an ace.  Cassie Cochran had nine assists and a dig.  Jessie Long had two kills, three digs an assist and an ace.  Malia LeGrand served up two aces and had five digs. Kenzie Graviett had a kill, and a block to go along with two digs.  Kamryn Graviett had three digs.  Streeter added a kill and a dig.

Monday was also "Pink-up" night.  The event raised nearly $400 in support of breast cancer awareness.
