What's happenin' (12/4-12/9)

It will be a super busy week for Oran High School athletes coming up that includes a road trip that was not originally on the schedule.

Everything starts on Monday with Lady Devil Invitational.  The Eagles (2-0) are the number-one seed and will take on Shawnee Redskins. The team out of Wolf Lake, IL (2-4) was a late replacement when Delta didn't have a team to put on the court.

On Tuesday, the boys will host Risco.  The Tigers enter the week with a 1-3 record.  At this time it is expected that there will be a full junior varsity game.  If something changes, I will post an update as soon as I can.

On Wednesday, the girls will be back in action in Chaffee.  If they win on Monday they will face the victor of Woodland and East Prairie at 8 pm.  Otherwise, they play at 6:30.

Thursday will be a night off.

Friday has the schedule change.

The boys travel to Scott City to face their conference foe, the Rams at 6 pm.

The girls, who have lost two games when Delta dropped out of the season (one regular season game and probably a Scott-Miss tournament game since the top seed will get a bye with only seven squads involved) lost another recently when Class 3 New Madrid County Central decided not to renew their contract.  So the Eagles will be traveling to Riverside High School in Lake City, AR to take on the Hoxie (AR) Mustangs, the defending Arkansas class 3A state Champions in the Gerald Jennings Girls Classic.  Admission is $5 per person.

A link to google maps is HERE.

This is the schedule for the event.
