The Oran High School volleyball team defeated the visiting Richland Rebels in straight sets during the annual Pink-Out night. The varsity won 25-18 and 25-6. There was no junior varsity match.
In the first set, the Eagles trailed early but took the lead 10-9. Oran pushed it out to 23-11 before the Rebels made a late run.
During the final set, the Lady Eagles led from start to finish to improve to 7-10.
Kennedi McVay dished out 21 assists. Kaylee Payne had 10 digs and six kills. Sam Welter served up three aces and had eight digs. Katelyn Streeter had four kills while Savannah Below added three blocks.
The varsity and junior varsity will travel to Meadow Heights this evening. First serve is scheduled for 6 pm.
