Track and Field competes at Kennett

The Oran High School Track and Field teams traveled to Kennett on Tuesday to participate in the annual Kennett Invitational.  The boys finished 13th out of 14 teams with a total of 13 points.  The girls placed 13th out of 13 teams and managed 1 point.

Point-producers for the boys were Langdon Scheeter, who finished second in the 1600 M run with a time of 4:51.50 and Tyson Goodale who finished fourth in the high jump with a leap of 6.00 which is a school record.  Goodale also finished 11th in the long jump with a mark of 17.11

Kaiden Massey finished 11th in the discus at 99-07, 14th in the long jump at 17.01 and 15th in the 100 M dash with at a time of 12.41.  He was also a member of the 4X100M relay team that finished 9th.  Other members included Goodale, Samuel Shoemaker and Waylon Shaffer.  Shoemaker finished 17th in the 100M dash at 12.45  Shaffer finished 20th in the discus with a throw of 63-05.

Logan Fouts placed 19th in the 400 with a time of 1.05.57 and he finished 22nd in the shot put with a toss of 23.10. Diesel Cato finished 17th in the high jump when he cleared 5-00.00

Savannah Hewett recorded the only point for the girls, with an eighth-place finish in the 300M hurdles with a time of 1.04.02.

Savannah Below was 9th in the high jump with a leap of 4-04.00, she was also 9th in the long jump at 13.05.00 and 17th in the 100M dash with a time of 14.92.

Traci Hency placed 12th in the discus at 63-02 and 16th in the shot put with a throw of 23-02.  Paige Bradley was 22nd in the discus (47-09) and 15th in the shot (23-04).
