The Oran High School boys varsity basketball team took on the Malden Greenwave last night and the Eagles won going away 77-34.
Oran was up 22-11 after one quarter and 50-21 at the intermission, despite hitting only four of 11 free throws.
Todd Priggel scored 20 of his game-high 26 points during the first two periods.
If there was any doubt, a 23-5 margin in the third put the game out of reach.
The Greewave's 6'5" sophomore who had scored 26 on Tuesday was held to four points before fouling out late in the game.
Priggel had a double-double with 10 boards. He added five assists, five steals and a block Ty Johnson put in 23. He had a trey and also had five assists. Langdon Scheeter had 11 including a three-pointer. Tyson Goodale was the fourth Eagle in double digits, he had 10.
Cooper Priggel hit a trey for his points, Kaiden Massey and Cameron Westrich each had a field goal.
The Eagles were 30 of 54 for 55.6 % inside the arc and they were 3-14 from beyond for 21.4 percent. At the free throw line. they hit 8 of 22 for 36.4%.
Oran forced 28 turnovers while committing only six of their own.
Coach Joe Shoemaker said, "I thought the boys came out with a lot of energy and did a good job of running the floor. We didn't shoot from the perimeter as well but made up for it by attacking the rim and offensive rebounding. Overall our defensive rebounding was good but we had a few spots where we had letdowns."
The top-seeded Eagles will take on the third-seeded Kelly Hawks in the championship game scheduled to begin tonight at 8 pm.
