It will be a busy week for Oran High School basketball athletes.
On Monday the 11-2 boys travel to 11-3 Bernie and the 9-3 girls will host 9-4 Saxony. The girls will be varsity only because Saxony only has enough healthy players to field one team. The action at both venues begins at 6 pm.
On Tuesday, the boys will host conference and district rival Chaffee (4-11).
On Wednesday, the 3-7 Meadow Heights girls will be in town for a varsity only match up.
The jayvee will get back on the court on Thursday when the 10-2 Delta Bobcats girls come to town.
On Friday, the boys travel to the 2-8 Bell City Cubs.
Those games all start at 6 pm.
On Saturday, the Scott-Mississippi Conference Girls basketball tournament begins. It actually starts on Friday with a play-in game between East Prairie and Oak Ridge, that game will be played at 5:30 pm in Oak Ridge, to determine top-seeded Oran's opponent at 10 am in the varsity bracket. The tournament is being held at Charleston this year. The Jayvee also received a number-one seed, but they don't play until the following Monday.
