On Tuesday, the Oran High School boys basketball teams hosted Bloomfield and picked up a pair of convincing wins on Senior Night.  The junior varsity won 62-34 and the varsity picked up a 73-35 win.

The jayvee led 39-8 at halftime and cruised to a 28 point margin with most of the final period played with a running clock.

They were 9-14 from the line for 64 % and improved their record to 18-2.

Coach Joe Bickings said, "We came out and played really well.  Our press was very effective to create easy points and we were also able to hit the open shooter if they collapsed on us when we drove.  All and all it was a good night and we have a short and tough turnaround with playing St. Vincent at St. Vincent."

After the Senior Day ceremonies that honored three players, Tyson Goodale, Kaiden Massey and Todd Priggel, the varsity took the floor and jumped out to a 22-6 lead after one-quarter of play. Priggel who is still out with an injury was represented out on the floor by close friend Ty Johnson who wore Todd's number 35 jersey.

The varsity also won by 28 with most of the fourth played with a running clock.

Tyson Goodale's double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds led all scorers.  He also reached the 1,00 point plateau with a three from the right-wing in the fourth quarter.  Langdon Scheeter had 12 points.

Dane Shands had eight points, including two threes.  Johnson had seven points and a team-high seven assists.  Massey and Cooper Priggel had five each.  Priggel had a trey. Samuel Shoemaker had four and Cameron "Big Dawg" Westrich added two.

They were 9-19 from the line for 47.4%, 23-38 from inside the arc for 60.5% and 6 of 21 from beyond for 28.6%.  they won the battle of the boards 32-28 and forced 32 turnovers while committing 13 of their own.

Coach Joe Shoemaker said, "It was senior night and I was proud that our two healthy seniors both played well. Tyson got the 1000 point scoring mark which is a very nice accomplishment. Kaiden started and played well. We were able to get a win over a district opponent which is always nice. "

They improved to 19-4 heading into last night's trip to Perryville.
