JHVB Splits with Richland

The Oran Junior High Volleyball teams split their contests at Richland tonight.

Eighth Grade Action:  Oran's 8th grade team won it's match in straight sets over the Richland Rebels.  The Eagles took the first set 25-13 and the second 25-21.

Jessica Long had five aces, nine service points and three kills.  Katelyn Streeter had three aces, five service points and a solo block.  Cassie Cochran added two aces, two service points and three assists.  Oran's eighth team is now 3-3 on the season.

Seventh Grade Action:  In the first match of the evening the Eagles completely dominated 25-5 but then could not maintain that momentum losing the next two sets 12-25 and 13-25.

Bailey Shipley had five aces, five service points and two assists. Heather Gosche had five aces, five service points and two kills.  Lyndsi Bryant chipped in five aces and seven service points for the younger team that saw it's record fall to 1-5.

Upcoming Action:  Next week there will be two home matches as the Lady Eagles will host Meadow Heights on Monday and Zalma on Tuesday.  Both nights the action starts at 6 pm.  Also, both matches will be eighth grade only.  Monday is Lil Cheer Night.
