Track Opens Season

The Oran High School track and field team opened it's season on Monday with a meet in East Prairie.  The Eagles only had a partial team compete due to an FCCLA trip and to the fact that recent bad weather had kept some members from having the required number of practices.

Kaylen Glastetter scored a total of 24 points to lead the girls' team.  Glastetter finished second in three events, the 100m, 200m and the long jump.  Diana Shomaker picked up the other point for the ladies by finishing seventh in the long jump.

Bradley Brooks totaled 10 points for the boys' by winning the 800m in his first meet.  Tristen Kelley scored the other six points for his team by placing fifth in the triple jump and seventh in the 800m.

Overall, both teams finished 7th out of 7.

The teams will be back in action on Thursday for the Chaffee Invitational.  Start time is 4 pm.
