Junior High Volleyball Loses at Oak Ridge

The Oran Lady Eagles Junior High Volleyball team had a disappointing trip to Oak Ridge tonight as both teams lost in three sets to the Blue Jays.

8th Grade Action:  Oak Ridge jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead in the first set but Oran came back to win 25-17.  The Eagles lost a heart-breaker 23-25 to force an abbreviated third set.  Oran lost 9-15

Jessica Long had a kill, three aces and 11 service ponts.  Ali Hornback added three aces and 10 service points.  Claire Ramsey chipped in nine service points.

7th Grade Action:  Oran won the opener 25-23 but then dropped the next two 16-25 and 9-15.

Savannah Elfrink had three aces and seven service points.  Samantha Welter added two kills, eight service points and an assist.  Heather Gosche contributed three aces and 11 service points.

Upcoming Action:  Both teams now stand at 1-2 and will host Sikeston on Wednesday at 6 pm.
