Lady Eagles Drop Two at Cape Central

Oran's Junior High volleyball team lost both matches at Cape Central Junior High School last night.

8th Grade Action:  The eighth grade lost in straight sets 20-25 and 17-25 despite missing on only five serves the entire match.  

Cassie Cochran was 11-11 with three aces and nine service points.  Ali Hornback was 7-7 and had two aces and eight service points.  Katelyn Streeter was 5-5 with two aces and four service points. Jessica Long had a kill, two aces and seven service points.

7th Grade Action:  In the first game of the evening the Lady Eagles were routed in the first set 12-25 before losing the second in much closer fashion, 21-25.

Serving was the seventh graders' bugaboo as they missed on 14 attempts.

Samantha Welter led the team with an ace and five service points.  Lyndsi Bryant, Kenna Graviett and Jada Tyler each had an ace.

Upcoming Action:  Both teams will be off until next week.  On Monday Oran, who now has a record of 1-1 for both squads, will travel to Oak Ridge for a 6 pm contest.
