First Fall Baseball Season Concludes

The Oran High School finished they inaugural fall baseball season on Thursday with the 13-0 five inning victory at Leopold.  They just didn't realize it then.

The season was supposed to end today with varsity and junior varsity games against Bernie, but rain forced a cancellation.

The Eagles finished at 6-2.  They picked up 2 wins against Leopold.  Oran earned 1 victory each over Senath-Hornersville, South Pemiscot and Bloomfield.

They split two games with Puxico and went 0-1 against Bell City.

Sophomore Drew Reischman was tops in batting average (.600) and RBI (16).  Classmate Clay Sauceda was the home run leader (2), second in average (.400) and RBI (14).

On the mound, Senior Preston Hahn led the team in wins (3-0) and innings pitched (19.2).  He was second in ERA (1.42) and opponents batting average (.216).  Sophomore Layne Johnson finished second in wins (2-0) and innings pitched (18.1).  Reischman had the team's best ERA (1.05) and opponents batting average (.104).

I would like to thank all of the sponsors that helped bring Eagle baseball to those that could not attend the games.
