Volleyball Splits Home Opener

Oran High School volleyball opened it's home season last night.  The varsity picked up it's first conference win with an exciting three-set victory over the Scott City Rams.  The junior varsity fell in straight sets.

The Eagles won the night-cap 22-25, 25-20 and 25-21 to improve to 1-3 in conference and 4-7 overall.

Kenzie Graviett had 5 kills and an ace to lead Oran.  Kaitlyn Wittu and Cheyanne Dobbs had a kill and an ace apiece.  Jessie Long had 5 kills.

The jv lost 15-25 and 13-25 and fell to 1-2 and 2-4.

Both will be back in action tonight as they host the Meadow Heights Panthers at 6 pm.

Over the weekend the varsity participated in the Dig for Life Classic, playing at the Show Me Center and Notre Dame Regional High School.

The Eagles lost in pool play to Gideon and Seckman while defeating Zalma.  In tournament play, Oran defeated Senath-Hornersville before falling to Holcomb in the bronze bracket.
