JHGB: Eighth grade loses big at SCC

In an 8th grade only contest this evening at Scott County Central, the Eagles fell behind early and never got back into it, losing 57-25.

Oran trailed 17-5 after one and 33-15 at the half.  It was 41-19 after three before the final 22 point margin of defeat.

Coach Ethan Evans had little to say after the game other than, "Terrible effort is all I have to say."


Heather Gosche led the Eagles in scoring with 9, Samantha Welter had 6 including one trey. Taylor Lowes had 5, Lyndsi Bryant and Bailey Shipley scored 2 apiece, while Paige Bradley added 1 point.

Oran was 4-12 from the free throw line for 25%.

The eighth grade Eagles are now 5-3 and will be off until next Thursday when they host the Delta Bobcats at 6 pm.
