HSBB: Season Preview

December 1st will mark the opening of the 2015-2016 basketball season for the Oran Eagles high school team.

Oran will take on Bell City in the final opening round game of the 60th Annual Oran Invitational on Tuesday at 6 pm.

The Eagles are seeded 4th while the Cubs are seeded 5th.

Head Coach Joe Shoemaker provided the following for the blog, "We will be very young this year and not real tall. I think this group will make some "young" mistakes early on but they have the potential to be in the hunt for another district championship at the end of the year. I think the older players and the younger players are starting to mesh together and hopefully will be fun to watch as the year progresses."

A junior varsity roster will be added when one becomes available.

Last year the Eagles finished 4-2 in conference and 19-9 overall.  They finished the season in the district championship game falling to Advance 66-49.
