The Oran Junior High School volleyball team picked up an exciting three set victory over the visiting Charleston Blue Jays last night. The Eagles dropped the first set, 25-11, but rallied for a 25-23 and 26-24, comeback win.
Coach Erika Hutchcraft said, "Second set we stepped it up and pushed to win by 2 points. The third set was back and forth and again we pulled out a win! I am so proud of these girls for pushing themselves and not giving up!"
Kaylee Payne helped lead Oran to victory with 6 aces, 2 kills and a block. Savannah Elfrink also had 6 aces and added a kill. Cami Cruz and Bailey Shipley had 3 aces apiece. Sam Welter had an ace, too.
The team will look to improve to .500 when they host Richland Thursday at 6 pm.
