Back to back gems by May

On Thursday, the Oran High School Softball team traveled to Scott County Central to take on the Bravettess in a district match-up. The Eagles would win in a 20-0 three-inning rout.  Tatum May, who less than a week earlier had tossed a three-inning perfect game against Advance, would pitch a no hitter against SCC.

The Eagles would put a 1-0 game away in the second inning when they sent 18 the plate and 14 crossed.  Five more would score in the third and the game was ended after Scott Central batted.

The Bravettes had two base runners, one reached on an error and the other was hit by a pitch, against May who improved to 2-2.

Leah Cauble was 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI, she scored 4 runs.  Jessie Long was 2-4  with a double and 3 RBI.  Maddie Graviett, Kenzie Graviett and Brianna Stause were 2-3 each.  Maddie had a double.

After the game, Asst. Coach Susan Dirnberger said, "Another win in the books. Everyone contributed in some way during this game. Everyone had a couple of at bats and all the girls were able to play in the field as well."

Overall, Oran had 15 hits and were helped by 5 SCC errors and 4 walks.

Oran improved to 3-3.
