What's happenin' (4/11 - 4/16)
As we start this next week only 3 weeks remain in the softball and track regular seasons and 4 for baseball.
On Monday, softball and baseball will host the Woodland Cardinals at 4:30. For softball, it will be a district opponent in the Cardinals, that enter the week with an 8-2 record and is 1-0 in district play. Oran is 2-3 and 1-1. Woodland's baseball team is 0-7, while the Eagles are 3-5.
Tuesday will have the track & field team competing at Chaffee beginning at 4 o'clock. Softball travels to Oak Ridge and baseball treks down to Portageville. Both games start at 4:30. Oak Ridge came into the weekend 1-3, Portageville 6-5.
There are no games scheduled for Wednesday.
All the teams compete on Thursday. Track travels to Kelly at 4. Baseball and softball will both travel to Scott County Central for district and conference games.
Softball will be at home on Friday when they take on district rival in Leopold, a team that is currently 8-1 and 1-0. Meanwhile, baseball travels to face conference foe Chaffee. The Red Devils are 9-3 and 2-0. Oran is 0-2 in the Scott-Miss.
On Saturday, the softball squad will make the long bus trip down to Neelyville. They will take on Corning, Ar at 9:30 and then Naylor at 11. Corning is 2-3 and Naylor is 8-1, they defeated the Eagles earlier this year 7-3.
