What's happenin' (5/2 - 5/7)

The post season begins for both softball and track this week.

On Monday, track will have it's conference meet at East Prairie at 4 pm.

On Tuesday, softball will play in the district tournament at Woodland High School at 5:15.  Oran, 9-6, is the two seed and they will face either Leopold or Scott County Central. Oran has defeated both of those teams handily this season.

Also on Tuesday, the 9-8 baseball team will face conference foe Kelly at 4:30. The Hawks are also 9-8 this season.

If the district softball seeds hold up and Oran advances to the championship game, it will be held on Wednesday at 4 pm.  Scott City is the number one seed.  The Eagles and the Rams met way back on March 21st.  Scott City picked up a walk off win with a 3 run homer to claim a 4-2 win.

Also that day, baseball will travel to Sikeston for a 4:30 contest.  The Bulldogs are currently 13-6 as they try to get their conference tournament played early this week.

On Thursday evening, the athletic banquet will be held at the K.C hall.

Track and field will sprint into the post season as they will compete in the Class 1 District 1 meet being hosted at Hillsboro High School.

Baseball had two games rained out last week and it is possible Monday, Thursday or Friday might be utilized for make up dates.  We will post any updates on Facebook & Twitter.
