The Oran High School volleyball team ran into a buzz saw tonight when they hosted the Advance Hornets.
Advance, coming off of a first place finish in the Woodand Invitational, defeated the host Eagles in straight sets by scores of 10-25 and 10-25.
Coach Boshell said, "I'm proud of the girls effort, it was a tough night but we never quit. I think we played well in spurts, but Advance took advantage of almost every free ball they got. We have to pass and set with a lot more consistency if we want to compete at a high level. I think we are capable, just have to get back in the gym and have some quality practices before next Tuesday."
The junior varsity lost by scores of 10-25 and 18-25.
The varsity is now 1-2 overall and the jv is 0-3.
They will continue their season-opening home stand on Tuesday when they host Leopold at 6 pm.
