VB: Eagles drop straight sets to Leopold

The Oran High School volleyball teams lost last night to the visiting Leopold Wildcats.  The varsity fell 13-25 and 21-25.  The jayvee forced three games but ended up on the short end 18-25, 25-16 and 22-25.

The older team is now 1-3 on the year while the younger squad is 0-4.

Assistant coach Erika Hutchcraft, who was filling in for head coach Larry Boshell due to illness, said, "Overall, I thought both JV and  Varsity played really well.  I think that we will only get better as we continue through the season.  These girls have the ability and the drive to do anything they set their minds to, I truly believe that."

No stats were available.

The Eagles will be back in action when they host conference foe New Madrid County Central.
