The younger girls snapped a long dry spell. They had not won since September 8th, when they beat New Madrid County Central in straight sets. The jayvee ended their season at 2-3 in SEMO Conference play an 2-10 overall.
The varsity's regular season concluded with 4-1 conference mark and 7-12-1 in all games.
Olivia Schlosser and Cassie Cochran each dished out 8 assists for the Eagles. Brianna Stause had 7 kills and 3 aces. Kenzie Graviett had 6 kills to go along with a pair of aces. Jessie Long added 3 kills plus 5 aces. Kamryn Graviett chipped in with an ace.
Coach Larry Boshell said, "We didn’t play as well as we could the first set, but we came back and had a very strong second and third set to get the win. Tournament time is getting close and hopefully we can continue to play well next week in the conference tournament and carry that into the district tournament."
Oran is off until next week when they will participate in the SEMO Conference tournament. We will have more information on that event in the "What's Happenin'" blog post this weekend.
