The games were mirror images.
The Eagles 7th grade fell behind early, trailing 12-4 after one, the Hawks cruised to the 35 point victory.
Seth Cauble and Samuel Shoemaker each scored 4 for Oran. Robby Menz and Kolton Payne both scored 2, while Nick Romas added a single tally.
Landon Cochran, Nic Massey,Landon Avery, Ryan Burke, Parker Diebold, Connor Gage and Camdyn Triblett played but did not score.
The Eagles were 3 of 6 shooting free throws for 50%.
Head Coach Joe Shoemaker said, "During the 7th grade game, they were able to speed us up and we didn't play very fundamentally sound. They are the best team we have played and it shows us what we need to work on to get to that level."
Game two saw the Eagle 8th grade jump out to a 18-2 lead after the first period and expand it to 30 at the half, 34-4. Oran went on to win by 34.
Ty Johnson once again led the Eagles in the scoring column. He had 18 total points, including a trey and was 5 of 7 from the line. Dane Shands also had a big night as he added 14. He was 6 of 11 on free throws.
Waylon Shaffer chipped in 5 points, he was 1-2 from the charity stripe. Drew Smith scored 4. Kaleb Gosche, Keaton Stepp and Cauble had 2 apiece.
Gage Phillips, Romas and Shoemaker played but they did not score.
The Eagles were 12 of 22 from the line for 55%.
Coach Shoemaker said, "The 8th grade played very hard again and did a good job of playing together. We got a little sloppy at times and we won't be able to do that in the future. "
The younger boys are now 3-2 overall and 1-2 in Scott-Miss play. The older team is 4-1 and 3-0, respectively.
Oran will be back in action this evening when they host Richland at 6 pm. The 7th grade contest will consist of only 2 quarters.
