Lots of basketball this week. The boys have 2 regular season games. The girls also play at home twice. And, the Advance JV tournament continues.
The JV boys start the week 2-1 overall and 1-0 in Scott-Miss play and the varsity is 3-2 and 1-0.
The younger girls 2-0 and 1-0 while the older girls are 5-0 and 1-0.
The action starts Monday. The Eagles junior varsity squad will take on East Prairie at 5 pm at Advance. Oran is seeded 4th and East Prairie is the number one seed.
At 6 pm the girls will host New Madrid County Central. They come in with a record of 5-1. Last year Oran won 64-35.
On Tuesday, the boys will host conference rival East Prairie. They are 1-2 and 1-0. Last season they met twice and East Prairie won both by a total of 4 points.
Nothing scheduled for Wednesday, but the JV will be back in Advance on Thursday. Depending on Monday's result they will either play at 5 pm following a loss. A win would propel them into the championship game at 6:30.
Also on Thursday, the varsity girls will host Meadow Heights at 6. There will be no junior varsity contest. The Panthers come in 0-4. The Eagles won last year 79-31.
The boys have another home conference matchup on Friday when they host the Delta Bobcats. Delta is 2-5 and 0-1. Last year the Eagles won all 3 meetings.
