The Oran High School girls track and field team finished third in the SEMO-West during the conference meet held yesterday at East Prairie with 53 points. No boys competed.
The girls were one of six teams in their division which is based on school enrollment.
Savannah Below claimed the only gold medal with a school-record leap of 4-6 in the High Jump. She won the silver in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 21.15 and bronze in 300 Meter Hurdles at 1:01.05
She finished fourth in the Long Jump with her distance of 12-04.50.
Madison Ramsey chased down a pair of silvers with her 800 Meter Run time of 3:06.35 and the 1600 Meter Run finishing in 6:40.81.
The 4X200 Meter Relay team of Morgan Kern, Heather Gosche, Jacey Brant & Cassie Cochran was awarded the bronze for their time of 2:11.59.
Gosche finished 5th in the 100 Meter Dash at 14.96, while Kern was 6th with her time of 15.37.
Both teams are scheduled to compete in Saturday's Class 1 District 1 meet at New Haven High School.
According to Coach Ethan Evans, Below is registered to participate in the 100 and 300 Meter Hurdles as well as the Long and High Jumps.
Ramsey will run the 800 and 1600 Meter Runs.
Gosche and Kern will be in 100 Meter Dash as well as the 4X200 Meter Relay with Jacey Brant and Cassidy Cochran.
